Arrowe Stores Sold to Existing Operator
Arrowe Stores, a convenience store and post office in Cheshire, has been sold to an existing operator in a deal facilitated by Kings Corporate.
With Arrowe Stores having been in the previous owners’ possession since 2001, the store, based in the Wirral, is a well-established business and a cornerstone of the neighbourhood. The triple-fronted ground floor premises enjoys an extensive and loyal customer base.
The store has benefitted from significant investment and several refits in recent years and maintains an excellent relationship with their symbol group. The store trades seven days a week in the heart of a densely populated residential area and retails a wide range of stock.
Arrowe Stores’ portfolio includes a substantial commercial unit. This unit offers an open-plan storage facility with racking, walk-in fridge and freezer, an office and facilities. In 2020, the business partnered with a company offering an app-based grocery delivery service. The service extends to a 3-mile radius and has proved hugely successful.
With the client looking towards retirement, Jonathan McElhinney, Corporate Sales Negotiator at Kings Corporate, identified the ideal buyer, an existing operator who has acquired four stores in the last three years.
